Why is it called OLEA?
OLEA, the name of this programme, has a history behind it.
OLEA is the name of the farmhouse in which the Guerra family lived and developed their entrepreneurial aspirations. In OLEA, which in Basque means the ironworks, the GH project was born.
In the cleared land in this farmhouse, the iron that arrived from different places was collected to be melted down and distributed to that business initiatives that have written our history in the industrial world.
That’s why this programme has been created with the name of OLEA. We wanted the place that once witnessed the origins of GH (Guerra Hermanos) to now give its name to a project that keeps alive the entrepreneurial spirit, of striving to overcome, that motivated us more than six decades ago and drives us forwards into the future.
